cleansing butter
More than a simple cleanser
Its innovative formula combines a delicate make-up removing action with deep cleansing, for intense skin care.

Its formulation is specifically studied for deep cleansing thanks to lipid components that can remove skin impurities, make-up, and excess sebum. It is also rich in anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and protective agents that can protect and revitalize the skin. Nitrogen in the butter supports skin regeneration. The skin feels nourished, soft and velvety after use.
Raw materials
Shea Butter
Extracted from the seeds of shea fruit (Butyrospermum parkii), this natural product has been in use for centuries.
The synergistic action of its components of vegetable origin makes shea butter a natural anti-inflammatory product which helps reduce and combat skin inflammation and irritation, as well as calming skin burning, redness, and itching.
The bio-active molecules in this product (e.g. cinnamic acid and lupeol) reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines under the skin, thus minimising inflammatory and erythematosus reactions. As a result, inflammation due to environmental agents, insect bites, cold (e.g. chapped skin), as well as inflammation associated with acne or dermatitis are mitigated. It is also ideal on skin affected by psoriasis. It can be applied on minor wounds or burns, and to calm sunburns.
If used as a cleanser, it removes skin impurities and sebum that tends to build up with make-up. It cleanses the skin and prevents dehydration and irritation. It tones up the skin in the face and neck, and it boosts the protective hydrolipidic film.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is made of fatty acids that have high affinity and compatibility with the skin (lauric acid, myristic acid, palmitic acid, caprylic acid, and capric acid). It has a strong cleansing power and antimicrobial properties (antifungal, antibacterial, and antiviral). It contains good levels of vitamins A and E, and has remarkable antioxidant properties, by virtue of which it protects the skin against cell damage and ageing. It nourishes and hydrates the skin, makes it elastic, toned and soft, and gives it a silky appearance. It is used on burns (including sunburns) and irritations, and helps soothe redness and inflammations, thus serving as a cure-all on damaged or especially sensitive skins.
It is also excellent after a shower and exposure to the sun. Ideal for highly sensitive skins, as well as for chapped and rough skins. It can also be used on skins affected by diseases such as dermatitis or psoriasis.
When used as a cleanser, it helps skin exfoliation and has an emollient, detoxifying and anti-ageing effect. It is a gentle and natural make-up cleanser that can dissolve make-up and excess fat, leaving the skin soft and nourished. Excellent on all face parts, including the eye contour.
Bee Wax
It has significant emulsifying and protective properties for the skin. Its features make it a very effective binder of aqueous and fatty substances, thus preventing the agents contained in the butter (aqueous and oily components) from separating. It enhances the skin aesthetics and integrity.
It fulfils a protective action by forming a film that serves as barrier to protect the outer skin layer exposed to the external agents. It also has an antimicrobial action. The protective barrier forming on the skin outer layer prevents moisture loss and keeps the skin hydrated.
It firms up the skin effectively and keeps it compact and toned.
It fosters skin respiration, which gives the skin a healthy appearance. It has hydrating effects on the different skin layers and improves the appearance of dry and chapped skins. Its soothing action contributes to reducing irritations, erythemas and eczemas. Thanks to its strong emollient properties, it can soften and smooth the skin.
Cocoa Butter
Its rich content in fatty acids helps cocoa butter penetrate the skin tissues in depth for a durable hydrating effect which contributes to keeping the skin elastic and soft. These properties make the butter especially effective in the treatment of dry or chapped skins, with a soothing and regenerative effect.
The polyphenols (catechin, epicatechin and quercetin derivatives), phytosterols and vitamin E in it help protect the skin and reduce the signs of ageing.
It contains theobromine and caffeine, which improve the skin metabolism, as well as squalene, a component naturally present in both skin and sebum.
Its soothing and therapeutic action fosters cell renovation and enhances the skin appearance. It can be used on scars, stretch marks and other skin imperfections. As it does not clog the pores, it is also recommended for people with sensitive skin or skin prone to acne.
Ozonized Oil
Ozone (ozonized sunflower seed oil) – with its protective, healing and regenerative action, this oil stimulates collagen- and elastin-producing fibroblasts; it activates microcirculation, combats free radicals, carries oxygen and stimulates regeneration through stem cell activation, without any contraindications or allergy-related risks. It boosts skin immunity and oxygenates the skin (ref. other specifications in face cream).
White Pansy Extract
Thanks to its main components (vitamins, flavonoids, tannins and saponins), white pansy is used for its detoxifying, soothing and emollient effects. It is mostly recommended against acne, oily skin, eczemas, and itching. It has
a purifying and detoxifying action on the skin. It is recommended for shiny and oily skins with excessive sebum secretions (combination and oily skin) as it normalises the production of sebum.
It also has antibacterial and antifungal properties.
Hydrolized Wheat Proteins
Hydrolyzed wheat proteins are natural derivatives of wheat grains, and their amino acid structure is similar to keratin, a natural component of skin, hair and nails. They have nourishing properties for the skin and enhance the skin structure.
They form a unique hydrating complex that can penetrate the skin structures in depth, achieving a fairly good water balance and giving the skin elasticity and a silky appearance. They are also an anti-ageing ingredient for dry and mature skins.
Aloe Barbadensis Gel
This product has a hydrating, nourishing, soothing, refreshing and healing action, and it is suited to boost the appearance of skin and hair and to treat minor problems affecting the skin, hair and mucosae. Thanks to the vitamins and trace elements contained in it, our aloe vera gel has a nourishing action and stimulates the growth of fibroblasts and the synthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid. The aloe gel forms a thin protective film on the epidermis to defend it against the elements and pollution. When applied daily, it improves the skin appearance and combats ageing-related processes.
It nourishes and hydrates all skins, including the most sensitive types. It is a helpful solution against irritated skin and it is used as intensive hydrating treatment of dry and sensitive skins.
With its hydrating and pore-astringent properties, it helps remove make-up and cleanse the face, yet respecting the hydrolipidic film.
Caprylic/Capric Acids
They are an excellent emollient and skin-regenerating ingredient. They trap water in the skin and reduce its loss through the epidermis, which results in enhanced skin hydration. They make the skin smooth and have antioxidant properties.
Panthenol
Panthenol is a precursor of vitamin B5 that is mainly used in processes for skin cell regeneration. D-panthenol becomes active as soon as it is absorbed by the skin. It is used as adjuvant in the cure of skin redness; it has an anti-inflammatory action, boosts the function of the skin barrier, and enhances skin elasticity and hydration.
Perfect on dry, de-hydrated and sensitive skins, as well as on skins with a compromised barrier function and requiring a soothing and protective action. It has a healing action and mitigates hitching, irritation and redness.
Glycine
Glycine is a non-essential amino acid that fulfils a variety of functions in the human body, including collagen synthesis. In cosmetics, it improves the skin appearance, hydrates the skin and heals irritation, in addition to boosting the skin barrier function.
The skin appearance is improved: being a component of collagen, it helps enhance the skin elasticity and structure. It contributes to mitigating wrinkles and fine lines, and improves the skin appearance overall.
Thanks to its moisturizing effects, water is retained, skin hydration is boosted, which makes the skin look softer and brighter, and the barrier functions are enhanced. It has a soothing and calming action: a helpful solution for sensitive skins or to mitigate irritation caused by external factors such as exposure to the sun or use of aggressive products.
Urea
Urea has a multitude of properties: it acts as a hydrating agent which helps keep the skin elastic and soft. It has exfoliating properties and fosters dead cell elimination from the skin surface, thus promoting cell regeneration and significantly improving the skin texture. It helps give a new life to extremely dry, rough, thickened and chapped skins.
It has a keratolytic effect: it improves the horned layer (stratum corneum) and slows down the skin keratinization process, as a result of which sebum flows more effectively, especially with oily or impure skins.
It is also used as a skin strength enhancer in the treatment of eczemas, psoriasis, and keratinization.
Lactic Acid
Lactic acid (and sodium lactate alike) is a natural component of the hydrolipidic film in healthy skin which helps its natural hydration. It is also known as “natural moisturizing factor” (NMF). Its peculiar structure enables it to act as a moisturizing agent.
It has an exfoliating effect and helps reduce darker and/or brighter skin patches caused by excessive or altered distribution of melanin by way of removing hyperpigmented surface cells.
It strengthens the skin barrier as it stimulates the production of additional ceramides, which are key components of healthy skin.
